On Saturday, June 13, 2009 there was a Preparedness Expo held at the Easter Hills mall in Amherst, NY. Booths from Home Depot, Praxair, American Red Cross, Niagara University, Erie County Emergency Services, SPCA, Erie County Public Health Emergency Preparedness, Town of Amherst, Town of Clarence, Catholic Health System, New York State Electric and Gas, National Grid (Electric Co.), Network of Religious Communities, Disaster Recovery Interfaith Network, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Buffalo New York Stake), Ready in 3, 911, SERVICE, and Dutch Oven Dave was there to show and demonstrate the use and care of a Dutch Oven in cases of emergency such as a power failure.
